    hey hey...mal ganz langsam :D da ist man mal kurz wech und nun gehts hier los ;)

    wieso kein debian? selbst wenn paldo gross wird...debian ist riesig. eigene repositorys kann man da auch bauen...sein eigenes release müsste man auch kreieren können, deswegen steig ich da jetzt nicht so hinter wieso paldo

    vieles was ihr sagt gilt aber mittlerweile nur für alte modelle...die plasma technik hat sich genauso verbessert wie die lcd technik...deswegen ist das aufheizen bzw der stromverbrauch deutlich gesunken.

    und btw hat der lcd gegenüber den plasma nicht weniger vor oder nachteile. der kernpunkt der für lcd spricht ist der preis...nicht mehr und nicht weniger

    tja junge frau...das was du willst ist paravirtualisierung. dabei wird eine weitere schicht eingeführt über die die hardware (richtige hardware) in der virtuellen maschine abgebildet wird. pacifica für amd und vanderpool für intel cpus sind der anfang von dem ganzen...da wird sicher noch einiges kommen die nächsten wochen und jahre.

    qemu hat jetzt einen patch rausgebracht der opengl unterstützen soll...vielleicht ist das was für dich http://www.pro-linux.de/news/2006/10489.html

    na so wie ich das gesehen habe benutzt virtualpc den ie zur administration, oder nicht. ich hab aber absolut keinen ie installiert in dem umfang...sprich es gibt keinen ie zum browsen in meinem system

    was heisst denn nicht so liegt? es ist doch genau die server version die freigegeben wurde für den rest der welt, und diese basiert doch auf der "teuren" gsx version. losklicken installieren...ich seh da nirgendwo etwas das probleme bereiten kann.

    genau das gegenteil...man braucht einen internetexplorer was das ganze sogar noch schwerer macht...für vmware braucht man nichts ausser vmware.

    mal ganz davon abgesehen das microsoft selber zugibt bei virtualsierung noch lichtjahre zurückzuhängen woraus u.a. die kooperation mit xen und novell entstanden ist. deswegen ist virtual pc definitiv nicht zu empfehlen...

    wollen dich natürlich nicht ganz im regen stehen lassen ;) win2000 installieren...knoppix oder analog andere livecds reinlegen und grub-update durchführen...ggf. menu.lst anpassen

    a) deswegen ja auch vmware, dafür braucht man 0 ahnung ;)

    b) es kommt immer drauf an was du vorhast und wie das verhältnis nutzen/aufwand steht. eine vmware lösung ist in vom aufwand her in 5 minuten erledigt. natürlich gibt es leistungseinbußen je nach hardware...aber während man zum entfernen einer vmware umgebung einfach auf den delete knopf drückt sieht es bei "deiner lösung" doch um einiges anders bzw komplexer aus.

    mit dual core und 1-2gb ram sollte vmware prima laufen und sehr einfach zu verwalten sein.
