Aktivitäten bei MPEG

Hallo zusammen,

Am Freitag sind bei MPEG (Motion Picture Expert Group) mal wieder etliche neue Dokumente veröffentlicht worden.

Diesesmal waren es:

• Combined CD Registration and CD Consideration Ballot on ISO/IEC 23001-1: Information technology -- MPEG-B -- Part 1: Binary MPEG format for XML

  Was ganz neues, was mal wieder keine Nummer hat sondern einen Buchstaben hat (nach MPEG-A). Ist das jetzt der neue Trend?
  Laut ankündigung handelt es sich dabei um eine Compression für XML Dokumente, was von MPEG7 abgeleitet ist, welches ja auf XML basiert.

MPEG hat gestern neue Conformance Bitstreams veröffentlicht. Das ganze findet sich unter:

Dort findet ihr den Text des Standarts. Auf dem ftp-Server sind dann die Bitstreams. Alle zusammen in einer Datei(.zip) kommt auf eine Stolze größe von 1,5 GB.

Es gab in der Zwischenzeit zwar so einiges neue, aber nichts nenenswertes. Am letzten Freitag (03.06.2005) ist "ISO/IEC FCD 21000-4: Information technology -- Multimedia framework (MPEG-21) -- Part 4: Intellectual Property Management and Protection Components" als FCD(Final Comittee Draft) erschienen. Wer also wissen will wie die MPEG DRM implementieren möchte, sollte mal einen Riskieren.

Warum kommt man nicht mehr auf ftp3.itu.[ch|int] ?
Früher kam man mit User avguest und pw Avguest da rauf, heute bekommt man nur 530 Authentifacation failed. Hat jemand was mitbekommen? Sind die jetz vielleicht umgezogen?
